Jurassic World Carrot Soup

Jurassic World was one of the movie we caught during the school holidays. I love the trailer and read that Jurassic World was even better than the original Jurassic Park. That got my expectations up high, since in my opinion, the first instalment of Jurassic Park was a classic. After watching the movie, I was just a little bit disappointed, it's entertaining no doubt, and we all enjoyed the movie, but the sudden ending left me hanging in midair.

The very next day after we watched the movie, I made this bowl of Jurassic World soup. To make this, I filled a bowl with carrot soup. Then, I cut T-Rex and the Jurassic World banner from a slice of wrap.

IMG_3718
I vary the toasting time of the wrap for the different sections so that there will be some difference in the colour tone. The black portion of the words were cut out from nori.

Do catch the movie if you have yet to, it's still good and definitely worth watching.

Sleeping Cat Wrap and Sandwich

We are going off for our holiday this sunday, just a short trip, will be back again on wednesday. It's unlikely that we will have internet access this time, have scheduled a post for next week, it will be up if my autopost works. Sorry, no time and not hardworking enough to schedule more posts, lol, you probably would have guessed, from my loss of blogging mojo lately.

IMG_8837
This was lunch for my boys and I a couple of weeks back. I decided to make some wraps for our lunch as I was bored with our usual noodles/rice/sandwich.

IMG_8833
I love wraps, it's a fast, fuss-free one dish meal, not to mention easy to eat on the go as well. I filled the wraps with eggs, teriyaki pork and lettuce.

Sleeping kitty is made from egg and nori.

IMG_9009
I also made sleeping kitties in sleeping bags. IT went for his first overnight camp at the beginning of the school holiday. He got to sleep in a sleeping bag under the ocean tunnel in the S.E.A Aquarium, so very cool!

IMG_9007
These sleeping kitties sandwiches are actually a remake of a popular sleeping bunny tutorial on my blog. Click HERE to check out that post if you missed it.

IMG_8973
Here's how to make your own sleeping kitty sandwich. Prepare one hard boiled egg. Slice egg into half.

IMG_8980
Use half of the egg for the head. Cut out kitty's hand and ears from the other half.

IMG_8981
Cut out your bread, using the egg as a guide.

IMG_8985
Fold bread over egg and secure everything using pasta.

IMG_8987
I used this puncher for kitty's nose, the other details were cut out using nori. Dot on blusher with some decor gel or ketchup.

IMG_9002
And it's done, pretty easy to make. :)

Bear Wraps Bento

I decided to make something different for my boys' lunch last Monday. I made them chicken wraps for lunch. It's also lunch delivery day, so I thought these wraps will be easier for IT to eat before his CCA.

IMG_7855
The bears are chicken patties which I shaped and coated with panko before shallow frying them. There are also cheddar and lettuce in the wraps.

The box behind contains golden kiwis and strawberries.

I spent some time this afternoon drawing sushi, it's been years since I last drew. I so want to pick up drawing again, but I don't know if I can find time to do so. -_-

Trudeau Fuel Sandwich Wrap & Sport Bottle Review

The last of my review for Trudeau Corp is for their sandwich wrap and juicy sport bottle.

IMG_9151
The bottle comes with an integrated drinking straw and has an easy to use rocker lid. It is leak proof and comes in 3 colours, red, blue and green. The boys could not wait to use this bottle when it arrived, they were attracted by the bright colour and cute design, so they kept asking me to wash the bottle for them to try out. It works well for both water and juice. The trigular shape makes it easy to hold. And of course the best part is that it is BPA free and made from eco-friendly materials.

IMG_9234
I've also tested out this sandwich wrap. This is made from food safe cotton with coating to keep food fresh. It's reusable, you just have to wash and dry it and you can use it again and again. It's also space saving when not in use.

IMG_9308
It can be use for either wrap or sandwich. This is my smoked duck wrap. :)

IMG_9238
I tried it out on my sandwich too. :)

IMG_9241
It comes with instructions on how to fold the wrap over you sandwich or wrap.

IMG_9243
You can hold onto the wrap as you eat, so there's no worry of getting your hands dirty.

Hope you like the series of review on Trudeau Corp's products. They have sponsored a sandwich box for a giveaway, so please check back tomorrow if you will like to win one. :)
