Cuddle Palz Bento

Thought I better do up a post today, as I'll be busy watching Korean dramas the next few days, most the shows I'm catching currently happens to be airing on wednesday and thursday, lol.  More Cuddle Palz creations to share, not exactly bento, as none of them were packed in a box.

 
Instant cuteness to tortilla chips, with the help of Cuddle Palz. I got this awesome idea from Kathy of Eclectic Lamb and I used the recipe Rebecca from Bentos on the Bayou shared on her blog. A shout-out to Kendra from Biting The Hand That Feeds You as well, as she was the first blogger who used CuteZCute to cut out tortilla chips. :) Do check out their blog for lots more lunch packing ideas. :)


I made some salsa for my boys to dip their tortilla chips in, but I think most of the salsa went into my tummy, they were happy to just munch on the chips.


Instead of using the usual burger bun for burger, I decided to use bread instead. I cut out the bread using Cuddle Palz and placed it on top of a beef patty, lettuce and cheese.


Sandwich burger was served with fries and asparagus soup.


Not sure if you noticed, I placed the beef patty directly underneath the bread, the dark brown patty brought out the Koala's features perfectly.


The last food art I'm sharing today is this bear sandwich. :)


Made this for IT's snack, he eats a lot these days and is almost as tall as me, just a few centimetres short. In case you are wondering, I'm not that tall, but not exactly short either. I'm 5 feet 3, he's almost 5 feet 2 and only 10 years old.


Bear was a nutella sandwich, which he ate with carrot soup. I still have more CuteZCute creations, will update them next time. :)

Cuddle Palz Hamster & Tiger

I'll share two in this post and I'll leave the rest for future posts, don't wanna squeeze too many photos in one post.


The next animal I tried out using Cuddle Palz was the hamster. She has heart shaped ears, how adorable.


Did not take much effort to make this bento box, I merely added on a bow for the cutie hamster, and cut out 2 ovals from ham using the eyes of the tiger cutter.


This snack box was filled with grapes, strawberries, lettuce and chicken tsukune.


This was a last minute idea, I had cooked tomato soup that day, so I thought I should just add in a quick decor using the Cuddle Palz.


I chose the tiger cutter, used it to cut out the wrap and toasted it in the oven for a while before placing on the soup. I hope you like these two kawaii animals from Cuddle Palz, have a good weekend! :)

Tigger Bento

I made Tigger for their bentos today, the cuties version though. Inspiration came from their water bottles. They both have the Disney cuties characters on their water bottles, Tigger for IT and Mickey for LT. I love the rest of the cuties, should be doing Pluto for tomorrow, and the rest of the cuties will follow in the following weeks. :P


Bento for IT, in the box are multi-grained rice, beef/spinach, fish floss, fish fillet, golden kiwis, kiwi berry and strawberries. This box is quite deep, so I've packed it differently from my usual. The beef/spinach and fish floss are sandwiched between the rice.


Bento for LT, same food as above. This Tigger's ears are incomplete. The main contractor for my estate came knocking while I was almost done with the bento and I totally forgot about the ears after he left. :P


Bento for LT to bring to School, in the box are strawberry sandwich, hashbrown and blueberries.


Bento for IT's recess, same food as above.

Tiger Bento

Argh, I lost my tweezer this morning, the one I used for adding on nori to my bentos. I've no idea where it went, I suspect I threw it away while washing up yesterday. And for the record, if that is really the case, it's the second one I've lost. :( I felt so handicapped adding nori this morning without a tweezer, I was struggling between my chopsticks, scissor and toothpick. :P I mananged to buy another pair at a bookstore just now, that will tide me over for the time being, as I've an important bento for tomorrow, a promise from almost a year ago that I've to keep. :)


Bento for IT, in the box are beef/spinach rice, chicken nuggets, cheese, sunny side up, strawberries and blueberries.


Bento for LT, same stuff in the box as above. Hehe, there was no space for one of the tiger's ear. :P


Bento for IT's recess, in the box are nutella sandwich, chicken nuggets, sunny side up and blueberries. The egg is fully cooked for this box as I'm not sure whether it's safe to keep the half-cooked version till recess.


I was not too happy with the position of some of the nori bits, but I had great difficulty trying to adjust them without my tweezer, so I just left it. :(


Beef/spinach rice and sunny side up in a bowl for me. :) LT did not want his egg, but I ended up throwing his yolk away coz 2 egg yolks would have been too much for me.

Shimajiro Tiger Bento

The bentos were done at different timings today. IT has to report to sch early for a Zoo excursion, so I did a quick snack box for him early in the morning. I did not prepare any lunch for him as he will be buying KFC for lunch, it's his favourite outside food.

LT's box was done much later in the afternoon. I tried using the egg yolk to color the rice today, and yes, it gives a brighter yellow color. I was lazy and din mashed up the yolk before mixing so the color was uneven, but I still like this yellow color, as compared to the box yesterday.


LT's bento, in the box are egg yolk rice, char siew and golden kiwis. LT does not like to eat eggs, but he did not realized that this is egg yolk rice. So if you have a fussy kid who does not like eggs, you can try out this. :) And the tiger in this bento is Shimajiro, he's from a Japanese cartoon.


IT's bento, in the box are Nutella sandwich, grapes and marshmallows.


My lunch, in the box are teriyai squid, char siew and broccoli/beancurd stir fry. I did have rice today. :)


While we were at Tokyu Hands in Japan, we saw lots of Shimajiro headgears. And that is IT trying on the tiger. :)

Twin Tiger

Made a smaller cheese tiger to match with the tiger onigiri. Teriyaki salmon as side. IT asked me to make a fierce looking tiger next time, he says my tigers are too cute. Simple bread sammy for his snack at sch.

Tiger's Roar and Chicks

Made a mistake of putting the cheese on the warm rice, ended with a melting tiger. :( Tiger is IT's fav animal. Must be fair yah, must also make his fav animals. Chicks snack box for IT's recess.
