Gudetama quail eggs & Pizza

Gudetama is still one of my favourite character, so much so that I've bought quite a few items, simply because he is on it. My most recent purchase is two Gudetama kids t-shirts, got one for LT and one for myself, lol. -_- I wanted to buy the adult one for IT but he says no thanks, lol. You might have noticed that Gudetama often appears in my food art, this is because he is so easy to make.

These are fried quail eggs. I came across a photo of fried quail eggs taken in Thailand, I think it's a local street snack over there. I decided to replicate this dish, except my version has nori added on to turn them not Gudetama, lol.

IMG_7532
I used a takoyaki pan to fry the quail eggs, then added on some maggie sauce and pepper. They were pretty good, my boys and I liked them

IMG_7528
I only had two and they finished off everything.

Gudetama pizza, inspired by the ones served in Gudetama cafe. I did think of going to Gudetama cafe last year while on holiday to Japan, but I did not suggest it eventually, because we will have to make a special trip down for it as it does not fit in our itinerary.

IMG_8488
My first time adding a sunny side-up egg to pizza, it's actually a great idea, why didn't I think of doing so earlier, lol?

IMG_8492
I baked the pizza for a while first, before adding on the egg, as I was afraid it might be overcooked.

Sharing some of the Gudetama stuff I bought. These are Gudetama gummy candies I'm holding. The orange box in the background is face powder, comes in other Sanrio characters too like Hello Kitty, My Melody, etc. I still can't bear to use it. -_-

IMG_0907
More Gudetama food items I bought, aren't they cute? They taste good too.

IMG_0906
This one is my favourite, still have lots more Gudetama food to share, but I'll leave that for another post next time.

Dog Pizza

I was busy baking cookies this afternoon, requested by LT, whose birthday is coming soon. He wants to give the cookies to his classmates. I was hoping he won't ask me to bake cookies for his friends as I was lazy to bake so many cookies, and yet I'm happy he still wants me to bake cookies for his friends. Not sure if I even make sense, lol. I'll still be busy baking tomorrow, still not done with the cookies and I've to bake his cake as well.

Cat Pizza

I'm moving the part I wrote about our founding father to the previous post HERE instead, I think it's more appropriate for that part to be over there. I was not in the mood to update the blog last week, spent whatever free time I had following news and updates about our founding father, as well as catching old videos I missed out about him. Today is a new week and a new start. I'm finally updating my blog today with these cat pizzas I  made for my boys a few weeks ago.

Halloween Mummy Bear Pizza

Need some last minute Halloween ideas? I'm sharing a fast and very easy Halloween lunch idea, it's great as a snack too.

IMG_9355
Here you go, mummy bear pizza. My boys asked for pizza last week, so I thought of making them these.

IMG_9354
I used my cuteZcute cutters to cut out these bears. I did a tutorial on how to make bear pizza before, click HERE to see. These mummies bears are done almost the same way, I just added more strips of cheese on the top layer. I used blueberries for the eyes and nose, because my boys hate olives. I think olives will taste better since the pizza are savory.

IMG_9361
My boys asked for more of the pizza to bring to school. So, I made more and packed into their sandwich box. :)

Hello Kitty Pizza

I'm sharing another pizza idea today. Hello Kitty pizzas that I made for my boys' lunch last week.

IMG_8448
These pizzas were done the same way as the bear pizzas I shared a while back. You can click HERE to see the tutorial for the bear pizzas.

IMG_8450
I used blueberries for the eyes, strawberries for the bow and egg sheet for the nose. If you think strawberries and blueberries taste wierd for a pizza, I suggest using olives and capsicum instead. I did not choose those because my boys dislike them, they are happier with the fruits version.

IMG_8457
I also packed some pizzas in their bento boxes for School the following day. I kept them in the fridge and toasted them for a while again in the morning. :)

Bear Pizza

I'm sharing some bear pizzas I made for my boys' breakfast last week. IT had no School on Friday, and LT skipped School that day. The last time I made some Panda pizzas, some of you asked how it's done. This time, I managed to take some photos on how to go about making these bear pizzas.

IMG_8349
These pizzas are just made from bread. They are really fast and easy to do. My boys love eating these.

IMG_8351
I used CuteZcute to cut the bread.

Please read on for the steps to make these pizza bears.

IMG_8358
First, cut out your bread with a bear cutter if you have one. I recommend CuteZcute if you do not own one, it's a really versatile and useful cutter. You can check out all my creations using this cutter HERE. Toast your bread on both sides at 1 minute each in an oven toaster.

IMG_8359
Spread on ketchup. Or you can also use tomato paste, pasta or pizza sauce if you prefer. Add on fillings you like and top with shredded mozzarella cheese. Return to the oven and toast till cheese melts.

IMG_8361
Cut out a round shape from cheese, place on the pizza and add on half a blueberry for the nose. You can also replace with olives or grapes.

IMG_8363
I used the above puncher to punch nori for the eyes. The mouth is cut out using scissors.

IMG_8367
Finally, you can dab on some ketchup or decor gel and the bears pizza are ready to be served. :)

Panda Pizza Bento

The haze condition has been very bad in Singapore these few days. The haze is caused by prevailing winds from the forest fire in Indonesia and is really bad this year. I think it's the worst I've seen all my life here. :( We have been unable to do any outdoor activities, and we are either in the malls or stuck at home. :( And even when we are at home, we can still smell the haze if we are not in our bedroom which has the air purifier on. :( Hope to have clean air back soon!

IMG_6820
I made these panda pizzas for breakfast yesterday, using Lee Kum Kee ketchup.

IMG_6817
The pandas are cut using CutezCute. To make these, first cut out bread with cutter, toast it for 1 minute on each side in the oven. Spread on ketchup, add fillings like ham, salami, mushrooms, etc. Then, top with shredded mozzarella cheese. Pop them back in oven and toast till cheese melts. Add on panda's features and return to the oven for another 1 minute.

IMG_6826
I packed them in a box, so my boys can eat them in the car, on our way to an appointment. My boys say they are yummy, a welcome change from their usual fish soup noodles for breakfast. :)
