Bubbly World Hello Kitty Bento

Macdonalds launched the Bubbly World Hello Kitty collection at the end of April. There was no mayhem mad rush this round as compared to the previous Fairy Tale Hello Kitty collection. This time the entire set could be ordered online,  a great option for those who do not want to join the queue at the restaurant or eat their food. I did not get any though as my Fairy Tale plushies are still collecting dust at home. -_-


The Bubbly World series features Hello Kitty dressed up as her friends, I chose to recreate two of my favourite design. The first one is Hello Kitty dressed up as Keroppi.


There was basil chicken, stir-fried peasprouts with mushrooms and strawberries in the other bento box on the left.


Ingredients used to make Keroppi Hello Kitty were rice ( coloured green using deco furi), egg, nori, crabstick, and ham.


The other character I made was Hello Kitty dressed up as Badtz-Maru, on a slice of grilled cheese toast.


Ingredients used for this were egg, nori, cheese and strawberries.

Panda Cheese Bread Bun

IT's exams are finally over and we are now counting down to School holidays! :) For today, I'm sharing some bread rolls which I decorated last Wednesday.


These are sausage buns, decorated with pandas. Pandas are made from cheese and nori.


My boys also had nuggets, golden kiwis and strawberries. :)


I also decorated my sausage buns. These are really easy and fast to make, flower and bird cut outs are done with cutters.

Baby Bird Bento

The boys do not need bentos for the next 2 days. LT has no School and IT only needs to report tomorrow for 3 hours early in the morning. This is likely to be my last bento post for the week. I might make a dinner bento on Friday if I finish up my Korean drama, lol. :P

I wanted to use these pretty bird house picks I got a while back. So, I made baby birds for today's bentos. :)


Birds are rice mixed with some yellow deco furi, the wings are corn bread and the beaks are carrot.


For lunch, the boys had rice, fried shabu shabu pork, broccoli and strawberries.


The birds for the snackboxes are corn bread balls.


Snack boxes are packed with jam sandwiches, grapes and fried shabu shabu pork.


Here's mine, with the leftovers after packing the boys' bentos. :)

Owl Bento

Just realised this is going to be post #294, so I think I will be holding my 300th post giveaway next Friday. :) Check back next week for details. :)


Owls for lunch, saw this onigiri version online, brown portion of rice coloured with just a teeny weeny bit of dark soya sauce. Ears are bread and branch was cut out from bread crust.


Served with five spice meatballs, asparagus rolls and strawberries.


Sandwich version of the owl for School. :)

My dinner last night, greens with pan fried meatballs and beef asparagus rolls. The boys had similar stuff for dinner, and for their lunch boxes today. I usually keep some marinated food from the night before and cook it in the morning for their lunch boxes.

Woody Woodpecker Bento

We took a family photo with Woody Woodpecker at Universal Studios, so I decided to make him for today. The boys know nothing about this Woodpecker, except his name. I guess he's more from my generation, I remembered watching his cartoon when I was little, lol. :)

I tried out the natural colour powder I ordered online. The colours were more intense last nite, it faded to a ligher shade this morning. And the red and blue were actually shades of purple. Overall, I'm quite happy with it. :) I bought gel colours as well, will test that out next week. :)


IT's bento for recess, in the box are cheese sandwich, chicken and grapes.


LT's bento for School, same food as above, except he wanted butter/sugar bread. I always ask them what spread they want and will do as per their order. :P

And these were what I used to colour the cheese. The bottles behind are writing chocolate. Yet to try those out. All from Chocolate Craft Studio.


Teriyaki chicken, tumeric fish, rice and spinach for me. :)

Bear and Owl

Didn't like how the bear turned out. I should not have moulded his ears with the face. Snack was a nutella Owl sandwich, details drawn on with chocolate pen.
