Calvin and Hobbes Bento

Calvin and Hobbes was a comic I love reading when I was in secondary school. Another comic I always read then was Archie. I used to rent them every week from book stores then. My boys know about Calvin and Hobbes, they've seen some comics online but have never read the comic books before.

Calvin and Hobbes were cut out from nori using a pair of scissors and placed onto a slice of cheese. We have no printer at home so I got hubby to help me print out the picture on a piece of paper at his office. I placed the paper onto nori, cut out the nori in parts and assembled them onto the cheese. I did this the day before, kept the cheese in an airtight container in the fridge after I was done and used them in the bento the following day.

There was rice underneath the cheese. I've also packed pork cutlets, tomato prawns, grapes and strawberries.

I remembered cutting the nori while doing exam revisions with IT in the afternoon, lol. He sat together with me at the coffee table, I would cut the nori when he was memorizing, doing his papers and corrections, and I took a break when I had to mark and go through his work with him.
