I made these on Monday. A simplified version of Jiji, cut out from seaweed. The bow is made from sausage.
Bento is packed with Shio-koji pork, broccoli, strawberries and blueberries. I just started marinating with Shio-koji during the recent holidays, love how it brings out the umami in food. It can basically be used to replace salt, taste mildly sweet and salty, and imparts a rich savory flavour that makes your dish yummy. It's also healthy and tenderlize your meat.
I missed eating bentos after having ate out for most of the School holidays. I packed the same Shio-koji pork in my bento. :)
