Chinese New Year Bento

Today's bento is inspired by mama _berl's bento shared on Instagram. I was in love with her Chinese New Year bento, right down to all the details, so I just copied everything. :P

Little boy and girl are made from short grained brown rice and nori. Red packet is done using crabstick and nori. Mandarin oranges are carrots. Firecracker is made from crabstick and cheese. The other food in the bentos are seaweed pork rolls, fried wantons, broccoli, asparagus, grapes and strawberries.

The fried wantons represent gold ingots and the asaparagus represent fortune bamboo.

Packed edamame rice for myself, together with seaweed pork rolls, carrots, tomatoes, cucumbers and tomatoes.
