A piece of good news before I go on to today's bentos. There will be a Pirate bento hop scheduled for tomorrow (19 September 2012), the hop will go live at 6 am PST, which means my post will be up later than usual, at around 9pm. This time round, you have to collect map pieces as you go through the hop at all the participating blogs. That will give you the URL to enter a Giveaway, where you get to win attractive gift vouchers to buy bento goodies from All things for Sale. :) Please check back tomorrow for the exact details! :)
Love-a-lot bears for today, made from bread. :)
For lunch, they had multi-grained rice, salmon, pork nuggets, broccoli and strawberries. The spots on the love-a-lot bear's cheeks are done with a food safe marker.
Used the Panda bread sealer for these. :)
Sanck boxes are packed with jam sandwiches, grapes and pork nuggets.
Had the pork nuggets with greens for my lunch. :)

Boy do I adore your post with pink bread!! (Magically cute!!) I am asking Santa for a bread machine this year! Also so excited to play the pirate hunt game tomorrow! I know it'll be a blast!
ReplyDeleteLol, yes, everything looks great with pink. These bread were store bought n I think they used colorings. I've yet to make pink bread successfully using natural coloring agent, my few attempts with beetroot did not wk. :(
DeleteSo cute!!! I love how you always match the snack bento with the theme for the lunch bento. The rice mixture looks scrumptious :)
ReplyDeleteTks!! Yes, I try to do tt if possible, save me the trouble of thinking of another theme, lol.
DeleteI am always surprised when I see all the colors of breads you find. Here in Spain we only have the white and the cereal ones.
ReplyDeleteCare bears are really cute, you make them really detailed, with all the cheecks spots ^^ And you are using the panda sealer a lot and giving a lot of ideas for it, I am starting to think I really need one...
Tk u!! Yes, they are very useful for bentos. These pink bread are quite rare here, most common colored bread is green here. :)
DeleteHello Ming,
ReplyDeleteThat's a very cute bear you made! Looking at your bento pics always made my day! I'm wondering how you come up with such a creative theme day after day. :) It's difficult to find pink bread here in Singapore. May I know where you bought it? Thks! ~mrsyap
Mrs Yap, Tk u! I plan what I want to do for the following wk over the wkend. :) if I've no inspiration, I look at bks n surf online for ideas. :) The pink bread is from a bakery shop o/s Tampines one. It was the only loaf though, I seldom go there, so I dunno whether they make tt often. U can try ur luck it u are there or try checking out neighbourhood bakeries, sometimes an hv gd find. :)
