It's the opening ceremony of the 2012 Olympics today! :) I am joining my fellow Bento Bloggers and Friends in a 2012 Olympics Blog Hop. So make sure you follow the button at the end of this post and hop around to check out everyone's great ideas. :)
Here's the Olympic lunch I made for my boys. :) My first thought was to make the Olympics mascots, googled for them, but sorry, I've to say I do not like what I saw. So, I've made my own mascots instead, lol. :p Brown bear is coloured with dark soya sauce and purple bunny is coloured with deco furi. The rest of the food are teriyaki chicken, broccoli(hidden behind the olympic board) and strawberries.
The Olympics board is made from bread. My original idea was to make the Olympics rings all out of bread as well, but my beetroot bread turned out yellow and I could not get my hands on charcoal bread. So, I've dyed egg white with natural colourings for the black and red rings (they turned out brown and pink though).
And the boys' Olympics snack boxes for School.
Sandwiches, with teriyaki chicken and grapes.
And my dinner last night, greens with cheese pasta and miso chicken. :)
Now, click on the picture above to take you to El Lunch de Mi Enamo and check out Laura's awesome creation. And keep hopping through from there. :)
