I've been seeing these mini hamburgers made out of sausages and meatballs on Japanese site and books. I decided to copy this idea for the boys' bentos today. There is also a hotdog version, will copy that for Thursday. :)
IT's bento, in the box are multi grained rice, slamon, broccoli, strawberries and grapes. The mini burger is made out of sausage, cheese, shaved ham and curly crisps. The 'fries' are Pretz sticks broken into small pieces.
LT's bento, same food as above.
IT's bento for recess, in the box are butter/sugar bread, salmon and grapes.
LT's bento for School, same food as above.
I couldn't resist poking in some picks, lol. :P
Been craving for wraps, so I kept some beef/capsicum from dinner last night and used for my wraps today. :)
I took photos on how to fold the 'pouch' for the 'fries', hope you will find it useful if you intend to make this bento. :)
Cut your wax paper into a small square. (I'm using origami paper to do the demo.)
Fold paper in half diagonally.
Take one of the lower corners of your triangle and fold it over to the middle of the other triangle side.
Take the other lower corner and fold it over to the middle of the opposite side.
Take one layer of your top corner and fold it down.
Turn it over and fold the other layer into the pouch. There, it's done. :)
