I made piggies out of mashed potatoes today. They were coloured with red beet colouring, love the pretty pink colour. :) The previous time I moulded bears out of mashed potatoes, the ones for lunch at home lasted fine. But the one for IT's recess was all messed up. So, this time, I hope the piggy can last till recess.
IT's bento, in the box are somen, mashed potatoes, salmon and strawberries.
LT's bento, same food as above.
IT's bento for recess, in the box are somen, mashed potatoes and grapes.
Pink piggies! :)
Here's how I pack for IT's recess, I used 2 airtight containers, the smaller one contains frozen somen sauce.
Thai basil chicken, egg, and broccoli for my lunch.

Those piggies are so cute. How do you prepare the mashed potato? I would love to make something similar.
ReplyDeleteKathleen, I added margarine(u can use butter too), milk n pinch of salt. Then I left it in the fridge n started moulding when it's cold. It's quite 'fragile' though, so might not last if u are bringing the bento out.
DeleteHere, little cute piggy piggy! I might have to give the mash potato character a try as well. Fun
ReplyDeleteWaiting to see urs, u are always super creative! :)
DeleteOh. Now I know how you pack your somen frozen sauce. :) But will it leak?
ReplyDeleteNo, wun, these are lock n lock containers, air tight n leak proof. :)
DeleteOic. Btw, is that flag pick handmade? Looks handmade! I love those simple flag picks!
