Yes, it's lazy day for me again today. Made used of my collection of barans to jazz up the bento. In case u are wondering how I close some of my lunch bentos, as some of them seemed too fully packed, actually I dun close them up. That's because the boys take their lunch bentos at home, so I just leave them on the table and cover with the mesh food cover.

Pooh Bear Again

Decided to continue with the pooh bear theme again. IT has been requesting for me to pack him some fries for recess, so today, decided to give him a treat and added in some. Main for lunch was carbonara with bacon bits, yummy but sinful.

LT's snack bento for school. It's the first time he is bringing a lunch box to school. Little fella was very proud and happy to bring it to school.


Yes, IT, has a smaller snack box, coz he eats very slowly. I want him to be able to finish fast and still have time to play for recess.

Pooh Bear

School has reopen again after the one month break. I need to get into the routine again, the past one month has been a bliss. No need to rush to send and fetch the boys to and from school. We enjoyed each other's company during the holiday. Now I need to get into the momentum again.

LT has requested to have a bento on the day his school serves porridge, as he does not like to eat porridge. So once a week, I will have to prepare 4 bentos, instead of 3.

Holidays are almost coming to an end. Decided to let the boys try their hand at making their own bentos today. Gave them something easy to start with, just shaping the onigiri, putting on the nori expressions. They had fun.

Tototro bento

I am a fan of Totoro. I showed the boys the cartoon last year and they loved it too. We were planning to visit the Ghibli museum on our last visit to Tokyo, but we could not get the tickets. Hope to visit the museum on our next trip there.

We chanced upon a Ghibli museum store, while shopping at Sunshine city, in Tokyo. I will be sharing some of the photos below.

Anpanman buns and Anpanman Children's Museum

My first attempt at breadmaking. Was quite happy with the result, filled the buns with ham and block cheddar. The eyes and mouth were drawn on with edible food marker.

We went on a trip to the Yokohama Anpanman Children's museum last year. The boys had great fun there, I'm sharing some photos of the trip in this post.

Angry Birds

It's June holidays for my boys, so I've not been making bentos for them. We are staying at home today, so I decided to make them a bento. My boys love playing angry birds on iPad. IT's favorite is the red bird and LT loves the blue one, it's also their favorite colors. I made Swedish meatballs today. Meatballs were done with Jamie oliver's recipe.
